I have that new Beyonce and Shakira song on repeat these days! But aside from the hot beat, it got me thinking about real life beautiful liars. You know, those guys who are so smooth and charming that they can sell sand to the beach?
My ex was definitely a beautiful liar and I had to let that go quickly because I cherish the truth too much - even if it's something I don't want to hear. Why is it that men will embellish the truth so nonchalantly just to avoid hitting an awkward conversation? And why do we as young women - often lacking the life experience to help us know better - let love blind us?

I think it's important to be honest with ourselves. That's the reason why we let love blind us. We are tricking ourselves into believing what we want to believe rather than the harsh truth. However, the more you put off facing the truth, the more it hurts when it finally does hit you in the face.
