Glimpse of Gorgeous: Shop NYC 2007

Correct me if I'm wrong, but there is no bad time to go shopping. Have a bad day? Go shopping. Break up with your boyfriend? Go shopping. Fail a test? Go shopping. Tired of creditors calling your house about your unpaid bills? Hm, I say go Shopping!! It's a cure all. Doctor's should write prescriptions for retail therapy! Okay, maybe it's not a cure all, but it sure does make you feel better!

What's better than shopping by itself? Oh, just a little thing I like to call New York City, cocktails, beauty treatments, and sweet discounts! Last night, GenArt, an arts and entertainment organization "dedicated to showcasing the best emerging talent" presented Shop NYC 2007. This event gave devoted, die-hard shoppers a chance to buy a VIP ticket and experience free champagne, 70% off cocktails, a subscription to Blueprint Magazine, gift bags, free beauty treatments, and crazy, fabulous discounts at selected retailers!

Tickets could also be purchased for the Main Event for $15 good for event access and cocktails and Gen Art members and special guests received tickets at a discounted price.

The VIP pre-sale took place from 4-6 p.m. and the main event lasted from 6-10 p.m with over 50 participating retailers. Designers featured included: Clo Lingerie, Marie Marie, redtoenails, Lauren Wolf Jewelry, and H Fredriksson.

Sadly, this event has already passed, but next year, I'm going to New York!! I guess you'll have to stick with shopping in your city for another year, but mark your calendars for next year and be GORGEOUS!
