Though I absolutely abhor the singer, I happe to love Love LOVE the color pink! As we grow older, it becomes less and less acceptable to form entire outfits around it, but pink will forever hold a place in my heart.

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and pink is in surplus this month. You have the opportunity to purchase pink M&M's, hair-dryers, pink vacuums, pink blenders, pink muffin tins, and if you need batteries for your stock of pink appliances-well, Energizer even makes a pink battery.

Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women. According to the National Cancer Society, approximately 40,460 women will die this year from the disease and right now, there are over 2 million women living in the United States who have already been treated for breast cancer.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month is all about celebrating being a women and raising awareness about a disease that takes the lives of so many of our own each year. Take this time to remember those who are suffering right now and do your part to support an end to breast cancer. With every pink purchase you make, you are donating a portion of the sales to breast cancer research. I can't think of a better way to help and support a good cause.

For more information about breast cancer or to find out how you can help (aside from buying loads of pink) visit www.nbcam.org.
