I've talked about my absolute distrust (and disgust) of online dating sites before. It's not that I don't think they can't work out for others, but I personally would just rather meet someone in a "cute" old-fashioned way, like through mutual friends or at a party. Maybe I'm behind the times, but that's what I feel comfortable with.

However, new sites that are aimed at younger generations aren't all about finding your own true love, but rather about "flirting" with potential partners in a safe, online environment.

One particular site, funkysexycool.com is a site that connects you with your peers. When you enter the site, you can rate others on the site as either "funky", "sexy" or "cool". These ratings then open up the lines of communication – and where you decide to take each potential relationship is up to you.

Perhaps the most interesting thing about funkysexycool is the fact that it's built for the mobile phone. That means you don't have to be at your computer to use it. You can be on the bus, waiting for your next class to start or walking across campus and scoping potential partners at the same time.
